Cookie Policy

Last updated: 28 June 2026

Private-pilot legal draft. Final legal review is required before broader public launch.

1. What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how the Zomia web app uses cookies or browser storage in the current private-pilot MVP.

2. Current storage use

The current Zomia web app uses browser storage that is necessary for the app to function. This includes storage for sign-in/session operation and customer QR cache.

On the web version, session-related tokens may be stored in browser storage so the app can keep users signed in and operate the authenticated service workflow. Customer QR token data may also be cached locally to support the QR screen.

3. Strictly necessary storage

Storage used for sign-in, security, session operation, QR operation, and app functionality is treated as necessary for the service. Without this storage, the web app may not be able to keep you signed in or show a usable QR workflow.

4. No analytics or advertising cookies

Zomia does not currently use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, marketing pixels, social media tracking pixels, or third-party tracking technologies in the MVP web app.

5. No cookie banner for non-essential tracking

Because the current MVP does not use non-essential tracking or marketing cookies, Zomia does not currently show a separate cookie-consent banner. If non-essential cookies or tracking tools are added later, consent handling must be reviewed before launch.

6. External uptime monitoring

Zomia uses an external uptime monitor for the public health endpoint to detect whether the service is reachable. This check is server-side and is not used to track individual users in the web app.

7. Managing storage

You can clear browser storage through your browser settings. Clearing storage may sign you out or require a new QR token.

You can also sign out from the web app to clear the active app session on that device.

8. Changes

This Cookie Policy will be updated if Zomia adds analytics, marketing, tracking, or other non-essential storage.
